MatchSheet Privacy Policy

MatchSheet (also referred to as 赛记本 in Chinese locales; the “App”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App may process, how it is used, and the choices available to you. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this policy.

MatchSheet is a scorekeeping app for live sports and games on iPhone (and related Apple platforms where offered). It is designed local-first: match setups, scores, play-by-play events, and history are stored on your device using Apple frameworks (for example SwiftData). When iCloud is available and enabled for the App, match data may sync across your devices through Apple CloudKit / iCloud under your Apple ID—not through a separate MatchSheet account server that we operate. Paid Pro features are offered through Apple In-App Purchase. The App does not show ads and does not use third-party advertising SDKs.

1. Local-First Storage and iCloud Sync

1. Core match data—such as team or player display names you enter, scores, clocks, events, finished-match history, and in-app preferences (including language)—is stored locally on your device.
2. If iCloud is signed in and CloudKit sync is available for the App, Apple may sync that match data to your other devices associated with the same Apple ID. That sync is provided by Apple as part of iCloud / CloudKit. We do not operate a mandatory developer-hosted login for standard scoring features.
3. You can manage iCloud data through your Apple ID and device settings (for example by turning off iCloud for the App, signing out of iCloud, or deleting the App). Deleting the App may remove local data; synced copies may remain in iCloud until removed according to Apple’s processes.
4. Display names and notes you type into the App are under your control. Avoid entering sensitive personal data (government IDs, exact home addresses, health details, etc.) into free-text name fields.

2. Data We May Process

1. Match and preference data you create: scoring sessions, history records, recording-tier choices, and similar content needed to run the App.
2. Subscription entitlement on device: to unlock Pro features, the App reads entitlement signals from Apple (StoreKit) and may cache entitlement status locally. We do not receive your full payment card number or Apple ID password through the App.
3. Support communications (optional): if you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send (for example App version, device model, screenshots, or a description of a problem). Please do not include passwords or payment details unless we specifically ask for them to resolve an issue.
4. Technical information processed by Apple: App Store distribution, crash reports you opt into sharing with developers via Apple, and iCloud sync are governed by Apple’s privacy practices in addition to this policy.

3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

1. MatchSheet Pro (auto-renewable subscriptions such as monthly or yearly) is sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Payment processing, billing, refunds, tax handling, and subscription management are performed by Apple under Apple’s terms and your Apple ID settings.
2. We do not collect or store your full payment card number, bank account details, or Apple ID credentials in connection with IAP.
3. The App uses Apple’s APIs to determine whether a subscription is active or restored, solely to provide or restrict Pro features (for example unlimited history depth, detailed history timelines, or basketball overtime). Prices and periods shown at purchase are those presented by the App Store / StoreKit for your storefront.
4. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (wording may vary by system version). Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next renewal charge, subject to Apple’s rules.
5. Use of the App is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) where applicable. We do not publish a separate custom Terms of Use document for the App at this time.

4. Analytics and Diagnostics

1. As of the date of this policy, the App does not integrate third-party advertising or product-analytics SDKs (for example ad networks or third-party marketing trackers).
2. If we later enable limited product analytics or diagnostics to improve reliability, we will update this policy, describe the categories of events collected, and identify the provider. Any such analytics would not be used for third-party advertising or cross-app advertising tracking as a default product purpose.
3. Apple may provide aggregated crash or performance diagnostics if you have enabled sharing with App developers in system settings.

5. Data We Do Not Collect

Except as described in this policy, we do not:

1. Sell your personal information.
2. Show in-app advertisements or use your match data for third-party targeted advertising.
3. Require a separate MatchSheet account password for standard scoring.
4. Access HealthKit, your Contacts, Camera, Microphone, or precise location as part of current core scoring features.
5. Upload your match database to our own developer-operated servers as a default product behavior (iCloud sync, when used, is via Apple).

6. Permissions and Security

1. The App requests only the system capabilities needed for scoring, local storage, optional Watch companion features (when offered), and iCloud sync. Network access is used for App Store / StoreKit, iCloud, and opening linked legal pages.
2. Safeguard your device and Apple ID. Anyone with access to your unlocked device or Apple ID may access locally stored or iCloud-synced match data.
3. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We use Apple platform protections for data at rest on device and for iCloud sync as provided by Apple.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information through support channels, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you are under 18, use the App with a parent or legal guardian’s guidance.

8. International Users

1. The App is distributed worldwide through the App Store. Processing related to purchases and iCloud occurs in accordance with Apple’s systems and your region settings.
2. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For data held only on your device or in your iCloud account, Apple’s tools and settings are often the primary control surface.

9. Policy Updates

1. We may update this policy as the App, applicable law, or App Store requirements change.
2. Updated versions will be published at this URL and, where appropriate, referenced in the App or App Store listing.
3. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
